We can’t quite believe this, but this week we’ve reached an incredible milestone. Since our humble beginnings in the heady days of the dot com boom during the late 90s, we’ve now been in business for 25 years!
A quarter of a century is a long time by any count, but in the ever-changing digital landscape we think it’s fair to say we could officially be classed as “old”. In fact, it’s not escaped our notice that we’re even older than Google!
Our journey
1997
Our “Domain Registration Order Form” from 1997.
We’d then have to print it out and fax it over to the registry. Remember fax machines?

2000
Our homepage from the year 2000, during the period when we were called “Names.co Internet PLC”.
Believe it or not, this was a cutting edge website back then!
2004
Jump forward 4 years and see the difference.
A snazzy new logo and a smart, modern website. It even had pictures!
You can also see our Hosting packages came with a massive 50MB of webspace. That was a huge amount back then.
2008
Another 4 years and it’s all changed again!
Another new logo, along with a website that seems awfully busy to the modern eye.
We wince to see it now, but we were very proud of it at the time!
2013
Our homepage from 2013, where yet another new logo shows how our brand continued to evolve.
A flashy full-width ad along the top was pushing website technologies to the limit back then!
2022
Our current website is the evolution of all those that came before it.
It’s also been designed from the ground up to be fully mobile responsive, something that would have been incomprehensible to our younger selves all those years ago!
When we think back now to those days of 56k dial-up modems and having time to make a cuppa while you waited for a website to load, it’s amazing how we survived at all.
The fact that we did, and the fact that we’re still at the cutting edge of the domains and hosting industry today, is all thanks to you – our amazing customers! We really couldn’t have got this far without you. Thank you all so much for your support, loyalty and business over the last quarter of a century. We’re all deeply grateful to you for sticking with us.
It’s been a heck of a ride, and not without some ups and downs along the way, but our business has never been stronger. As the industry has evolved so have we, yet we’ve never lost sight of our founding ideal to produce innovative and game-changing products that help everyone on their online adventures.
