How to Renew my Domain Name for a Longer Period of Time

Introduction

Each domain name extension has its own rules of how long you can renew it for. The most common domain names used in the UK are: .co.uk / uk / and .com.

The maximum time these domains can be registered for is 10 years and can never exceed this time. For example, if you decide to renew your domain name 2 years early to secure the name for longer, the maximum time would then be 8 years, to make it up to 10 years.

This guide will show how to change your renewal term.

Step Three

The Billing – Renewals page will show your renewals and what the current renewal term is set to. However, if you choose the drop-down list, you can then renew your domain name for longer. If the option is not available, this will mean the domain name extension or package you are currently on, only allows a set renewal period.
