How do I connect to my Windows server using Remote Desktop Connection?

I’ve got a Windows computer

You’ll need to use Remote Desktop Connection to connect to your server – this is included with most versions of Windows. Open the application and enter your server IP or host name and your username and password when prompted and you should connect.

I’ve got a Mac

Download the Microsoft Remote Desktop Connection from the Microsoft Website here When you are prompted, enter your server’s IP or host name and then enter your username and password.

I’ve got a Linux computer

You can use rdesktop to connect from most Linux distros. Once you have it installed, just enter your server host name or IP and your username and password when prompted.
