How to Verify my Domain Name

Introduction

When buying certain domain names, you will receive an email to verify the details that you provided upon registration. This guide will show you what you need to do to ensure the provided information is correct and start using your domain name.

Step One

When buying a .com / .net / .org / .info domain name you need to ensure you are entering the correct details upon registration. If you do make a mistake, please follow this guide here to update the details to ensure they are correct.

Step Two

If details are correct, you will receive an email to the primary email address that was used for the domain name. The email will come from noreply@names.co.uk with the subject “Verification required for domainname.com”.

Please click on the button in the email saying “Verify your email now”. Once this is done you shouldn’t need to do anything further.

If you are unable to find the email in your inbox, please check your Junk or Spam folder in your email folders too, in case they have gone in here.

Step Three

If you miss this email and do not verify your domain name within the 15-day time scale then the domain name will become suspended. To resolve this please visit your domain name in your web browser and it will advise the domain is suspended. You’ll be able to resend a verification link to your email at the bottom of the page. You can also call our Domain administration team on 0345 363 3636 who can resend the verification email to you.
